Laborer
Now Hiring: Construction Laborer (Sitework & Excavation)
We are looking for hardworking, reliable Construction Laborers to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a career in the sitework and excavation industry.
Key Responsibilities
Site Preparation & General Labor

Receive direction from the foreman. Assist the formen/operators with daily tasks.

Assist with excavation, trenching, and grading on construction sites.

Shovel, rake, and move materials as needed to prepare job sites.

Help install pipes, drainage systems, and other underground utilities.
Equipment Support & Maintenance

Understand and retrieve the necessary equipment, tools that are requested for the task

Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Assist operators with setting up lasers, transits, and GPS layout systems.

Perform daily maintenance checks on tools and equipment.
Safety & Compliance
-
Follow OSHA safety protocols and company procedures.

Attend weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.

Assist in trench safety setups (e.g., placing trench boxes, shoring materials).
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Previous construction or sitework experience is preferred but not required.
✔ Willingness to learn grading, trenching, and utility installation.
✔ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
✔ Strong work ethic and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
✔ Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools.
✔ Understanding of basic safety rules and OSHA regulations.
Licenses & Certifications (Required/Preferred)
Valid Driver’s License (Required)
OSHA 10 Certification (Required)
Medical Card (Preferred) (FU-SW can help facilitate this)
CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred)
